Book Review: The Maze Runner by James Dashner

Plot: When Thomas first wakes up and finds himself in an elevator, all he remembered was his first name and nothing else. But he’s not alone. When the lift door opens, Thomas is pulled up by boys who had the same fate as him. They lost their memory and they had no idea how they had gotten to the Glade - a large area trapped inside stone walls in which they live. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surround them open and every night, they close tight. Every month, a new boy is delivered there so Thomas was expected. What was out of the ordinary was that the next day, a girl was sent there, which raised tons of questions, along with the message she brings with her. Now, Thomas has to dig deep into his thoughts to find the secrets buried within.

The Maze Runner is such a terrific and unique book written by James Dashner. The concept is mind-boggling and the whole story itself is different. The interesting plot kept me intrigued and it just makes you want to keep reading. Hunger Games and Divergent fans would love this book. Definitely recommended.
